Overview
My name is Colette Mason and I am a freelance usability consultant. I am highly skilled, professional and enthusiastic, with 5 years of solid usability knowledge.
Over the course of those 5 years, I have worked on mission-critical, multi-million pound projects.
I strive to design tools and products that are useful, usable, meaningful, accessible and rewarding to use.
My practical usability and human-computer interaction skills are complemented with extensive technical experience developed over 14 years in the IT sector, focusing on web-based application development and 2nd line support and service delivery.
I hold a B.Sc.(Hons) in Economics from Brunel University, London.
client Testimonials
| “Colette always goes that extra mile, creating wonderful presentations and turning them around in timescales that are impossibly quick. Her depth of knowledge is always a valuable input and the user trials she does always create a real buzz. Her technical knowledge, particularly around databases and graphics are extremely impressive, and Colette will always be able to create something to make life easier, quicker or a solution better defined or illustrated. I have never employed or worked alongside someone that I have had so much professional respect for”. SM, Project Manager, Fujitsu Services |
| “I felt it was important to write to you and say how impressed I am with how the new system is looking. It seems to smooth out many of the rough edges that exist in the current Smart Post [postal services] application. I was particularly impressed with the screen that shows the services available together with prices, target delivery times and compensation amounts”. MB, Programme Manager, Post Office Ltd |
